A woman walked into a store Tuesday at about 2:15 p.m. and brandished a knife after she was confronted by a man about stealing.

The woman, described by police as being between the ages of 25 and 30, stepped into a store on Mission Street near 23rd Street Tuesday afternoon, and started concealing items in her backpack.

A man noticed what she was doing and confronted her. Police said she then took out a knife and a fight ensued. The victim sustained a small cut on his middle finger.

The suspect ran out of the store and got away.

In a separate incident, three men and one woman attempted to rob a 22-year-old man Tuesday night at about 10:27 p.m. on 26th Street and Treat Avenue.

Police said that four suspects, described as three guys and one woman in their late teens and early 20s, attacked the victim from behind.

One suspect punched the man while two others held him down on the ground. Another suspect brandished a knife but the victim was able to break free from the suspects and fled the scene before they were able to rob him.

Police found one of the suspects and took him into custody.
