A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries when she was hit by an SUV shortly after 11 a.m. on Thursday. The driver of the SUV, which was traveling northbound on Dolores Street, said she saw a yellow light as she approached the intersection, but that it turned red when she was in the middle of the intersection.
That’s when she slammed on the brakes before hitting the motorcyclist, who was traveling westbound on 16th Street and had the green light, police said.
The motorcyclist suffered an abrasion to the leg, according to the officer at the scene. With minor injuries, it was not clear if she would need to be taken to the hospital.
