A little after 10 p.m. on Thursday, a man flagged down a car at the corner of 22nd Street and Potrero Avenue. When the car pulled over, the man approached and said he had a gun. The three passengers — two women, 25 and 34, and a man, 25 — got out of the car, and the suspect drove off and crashed into a pole. The suspect was arrested and the car recovered.
The suspect, age 27, was described as being in an “altered mental state” in police reports. There were no injuries.
