Four men violently robbed a man late Thursday night at Treat Avenue and 25th Street, police said.

Police received a call at 11:53 p.m. Wednesday of a robbery at knifepoint. The four suspects, all men in their 20s, surrounded the victim, a 24-year-old man. One suspect put the victim in a choke hold while another held a knife to his throat and the other two punched him repeatedly. They stole the victim’s cash, cellphone, wallet and ID. The suspects then fled on foot.

The victim suffered a cut to the face and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. His injury was not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.

At 1:15 a.m. on Friday at 25th and Utah streets, three male suspects stabbed a 40-year-old victim in his shoulder. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening and he was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.

  1. Police very rarely patrol along 25th in that area. I know because I have to walk home from where I park my car there every night. Muggers know this by now, I am sure. They patrol 24th, sure, but not 25th — even though Garfield Park is right there.I got rid of my iPhone partly because of concern it would get stolen (and partly because AT&T sucks).

    1. Good luck with that. The thugs come out at night precisely because it’s impossible to maintain a police presence at all hours of the day.
