One of Chef Werner's "cube cakes"

Craftsman and Wolves, a patisserie at 746 Valencia St., has announced it will open on June 16.

The menu will include four-serving cube cakes in such flavors as Vietnamese cinnamon, chocolate, caramel; buttermilk, peach, smoked vanilla, granola; and raspberry, coconut, earl grey. You can also expect croissants (plain, chocolate and passion-sesame); chocolate-salted caramel brownies; caramel, lavender and soft chocolate éclairs; and roasted white chocolate, kumquat, Spanish peanut verrines, among other mouth-watering options.

The name is a nod to craftsmen and the numerous challenges they face when pursuing their craft.

Craftsman and Wolves will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

  1. So not to be a dumbass, but I’m confused. What is that picture supposed to be? Is that one of their “cube cakes?” What does that even mean? What the hell is up with all the different sized m&m things..weird. And why does it look like it has pieces of fake aquarium plants sprinkled on it? Very puzzled.
