It’s 7 a.m., 55°, and headed to 69°. Details for the next 10 days are here.

Should be a beautiful Saturday, but how to spend it? Well, rumor has it there will be a bubble flash mob in Dolores Park today at noon. The goal is millions of bubbles — so if you want some sunshine, go help make it happen!

If you’re feeling more in the mood for intellectual stimulation today, it’s free day for Mission residents at the Academy of Sciences. If you live in 94110, 94114 or 94117, save yourself $30!

But no matter what, there’s one event today that you should really pay attention to — Mission Local’s first-ever film festival, at the Women’s Building at 7 p.m. We have some great short films shot in the Mission or by people who live in the Mission. Come check it out, donate $5 if you love us, and buy adult beverages and snacks to make it even more fun. Hope to see you there!

A bonus in case you’re looking for something good to read on Saturday morning: an interesting piece in Mother Jones about start-up culture resembling frat houses.
