We asked Mission residents what they would do with the big jackpot.

“I would run away, somewhere nobody can find me except my friends,” Aldo Delacruz said.
“I’d buy a house in the Philippines and help my grandchildren with school,” Dory Tanigra said.
“We’d buy several houses, quit our jobs, trash our apartment. We’d buy a house in Tahoe, one in Miami, one in San Francisco, one in Scottsdale. We’d buy a jet and go to Jamaica. Then we’d give to some to charity,” Sarah and Elana Sevi said.
“I would pay a few bills, get myself a ride… an SUV,” Michael Millsaps said.
“I’d open an organization to help more people all over,” Amber Truong said.
“I would help people that need it and keep a little bit for myself because I think money could be dangerous,” Maria Saavedra said.

  1. María Saavedra was one of our flower vendors in the mission, passed away at home last week and does not have relatives to take care of her funeral. Does anyone know of any organization or place where they give this type of assistance? Could you help to spread the news so that people donate for these expenses?
