Friends stayed late Wednesday night to put together a memorial for 19-year-old Giselle Ramirez. They brought candles and bottles and posted pictures on the wall outside Bartlett Market and Liquors on 24th Street and Bartlett.

Paul Salamy, who works at the corner store, told Mission Loc@l that Ramirez grew up in the Mission and used to spend time with friends outside the store. She recently had moved to Sunnyvale. According to Salamy, Ramirez committed suicide.

  1. I can’t find the words to express how this has made such a impact on many, many hearts! I am deeply wooded and devastated by what has happens. Giselle had this beautiful smile that I can never forget. The LORD will take away all her pain and sorrow and heal Giselle so she will smile down on us until we meet again. Giselle you made A impact on myself and my two kids, Terriana and Ivan. We never let you be forgotten and I will pray for you always. Rest well Lil HomeGirl until we meet again
