Happy Sunday! It’s 7:40 a.m., 48° and headed to 66°. Let’s hope today is as beautiful as yesterday. Details for the next 10 days are here.

In a look at a Sanctuary, a medical pot collective in the Tenderloin, the SF Examiner reports on the latest developments on the medical cannabis laws. Although the club passed an inspection that showed it complied with San Francisco law, under federal law marijuana remains illegal and, according to the story:

…state-legal dispensaries such as Sanctuary — along with four other storefront dispensaries in the Mission, Upper Market and Tenderloin neighborhoods — have closed.

The U.S. Justice Department’s crackdown on collectives that appear to be in compliance with state and local laws has reminded The City’s 21 remaining dispensaries exactly how precarious their positions are.

“In less than six months, this could all be gone,” said Stephanie Tucker, a spokeswoman for the San Francisco Medical Cannabis Task Force. “The medical cannabis movement is in danger.”

Although it’s not as exciting as if the 49ers were playing, game day is here! Will you be having people over to watch the Super Bowl, or going to a bar? Let us know where you are in the Mission!
