A fight that broke out on Mission Street near the 16th Street BART station on Monday at 9:10 p.m. ended when a 37-year-old man stabbed a 28-year-old man in the back, police reported.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was arrested and booked.

Earlier in the evening, on the 100 block of Julian Street near 15th, a man in his 50s attacked a 51-year-old man, hitting him on the back of the head with an unknown weapon.

The incident took place at 8:35 p.m. The victim was taken to San Francisco General, where he was treated for a concussion. No arrests have been made.
