Update at 6:35 p.m.: Power has been restored for 3,200 customers following an explosion in a manhole near UCSF’s Mission Bay campus at 4th and 16th streets.

PG&E reports that the outage began at 5:28 p.m. and lasted only 10 minutes.

Although businesses in the area, including Rainbow Grocery, were affected, all are open.

6:05 p.m.: About 3,000 are without power this afternoon after an explosion in a manhole near UCSF’s Mission Bay campus at 4th and 16th streets.

Mission Mission is reporting that one of the businesses without power is Rainbow Grocery.
