President Barack Obama gave his State of the Union speech in the presence of some Bay Area guests last night, including Steve Jobs’ widow and the founder of Instagram. The San Francisco Chronicle reports:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, said she thought “the president delivered a strong vision to the American people of an economy that’s built to last … and that reignites the American Dream.”

“So many people have lost wealth, their homes, and as a result their American Dream,” said Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Oakland. “This speech really addressed the 99 percent and the efforts made to investigate and prosecute scam loan sharks on Wall Street.”
