Buenos dias, Missionites. It’s 7 a.m., 44° and headed to 60° — that’s one degree warmer than yesterday, woo hoo. The next few days will remain constant — you know, the too-cold-for-shorts-yet-not-quite-pea-coat weather — so dress appropriately. Details for the next 10 days are here.
Happy Hanukkah! An excerpt from the Washington Times:
Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, come light the Menorah…
Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, we’ll all dance the horah…
Gather around the table, we’ll give you a treat…
Lots of tasty chocolates, and latkes to eat…
Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, come light the Menorah…
Happy Chaka Khan! Time to break out the Dreidels (spinning tops) and spin them faster than an ultracentrifuge.
For those who do not celebrate this lovely holiday, “I feel for you.” For those who truly want good things in life, the world truly does need “higher love.”
At sundown on Tuesday, December 20th, 2011, the Hebrews get ready to celebrate the festival of lights. From now through December 28th, Hanukkah spreads blue and white beauty and tradition to Jews scattered throughout the four corners of the world.
For some other good news: After two power outages at their 51-year-old-stadium, the 49ers turned the lights out on the Steelers last night, beating the AFC defending champions 20-3 — no more black and yellow, black and yellow.
And ’tis the season for giving! By donating to our awesome team.
Happy Tuesday, Missionites!
