A 29-year-old man was shot in the thigh yesterday near the corner of 17th and Potrero streets at 4:40 p.m. Both the suspect and victim are suspected of having gang affiliations, police said.
The suspect, dressed all in black and acting belligerently, approached the victim and fired one shot into his left thigh. A stranger arrived on the scene and drove the victim six blocks to San Francisco General Hospital, where the 29-year-old was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made.
