Good morning Mission! It’s 7 a.m. and a cool 47° F. Today will be partly cloudy, and we’re headed for a high of 56° F. Check here for the weekend forecast.

Here are some news tidbits from around the Bay:

Though the original Occupy encampment in New York has been evicted and Oakland’s has been oustedSan Francisco’s group remains raid-free as of Friday. But this could change quickly: The Bay Citizen reports that businesses are urging Mayor Lee to follow the lead and clear out Justin Herman Plaza.

A classic Bay Area college football rivalry continues tonight in Palo Alto as Stanford plays Cal. You can catch the game on ESPN if you can’t make it in person.

And back in the Mission, there are a number of art and cultural events this afternoon and evening, which you can find here.

An admitted technophile, Jessica Lum navigates the Mission with Google Maps, but has only really come to know the neighborhood by wandering on foot, looking at murals, and occasionally watching the guy on the BART steps play “Stairway to Heaven.”
