A 30-year-old man was walking to his car on 21st between Shotwell and Folsom streets at 7:12 p.m. on Monday when a man in his 30s approached him and pointed a black semi-automatic gun at his waist, police reported.
He wanted money, but the victim declined.
The suspect then pointed the gun at the victim’s head, upon which the victim handed over his money and watched as the suspect fled in a car.
Three Attempted Robberies Early Tuesday Morning
2:45 a.m. On Mission Street near 21st, a man armed with a knife demanded that a 52-year-old man hand over his money.
I have none, the victim said.
The suspect then struck the victim with an unknown object and fled. He was treated at Kaiser for non-life-threatening injuries.
2:55 a.m. On the same block of Mission Street, three suspects tried to rob a 33-year-old man. The victim ran and managed to jump into a cab, which he took directly to the Mission Police Station to report the crime.
2:59 a.m. Two men in their early 20s approached a man walking near 18th and Capp streets and threatened him with a knife and a brick while demanding money.
The victim refused, and one of the suspects hit him in the head with the brick and fled with his accomplice.
The victim was treated at San Francisco General Hospital for a cut near his eyebrow.
