San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi will reveal new evidence of police misconduct, including surveillance video and witnesses, in a meeting to be held November 3 at his office. Adachi will also call for key changes in police policy after reviewing cases involving perjury, civil rights violations, excessive force and theft by officers.
SFPD’s Mission Station came under scrutiny by Adachi last year, when he released footage that he claimed showed misconduct by officers during drug busts at residential hotels around the city.
In May, District Attorney George Gascón dropped 26 cases involving Mission Station.
