A car crashed into a motorbike at the intersection of Folsom and 22nd streets at 10 o’clock this morning.

The motorcyclist was taken to San Francisco General Hospital but did not appear to be severely injured, said officer Keith Lai, who arrived on the scene shortly after the accident. Officer Albie Esparza confirmed later that the victim, a 30-year-old man, decided he was in enough pain to merit a trip to the hospital.

It was too early to determine which party was at fault, Esparza said. The investigation will clarify the causes. Both Esparza and Lai said that the incident wasn’t serious.

The car’s driver declined to comment on the accident. As the police finished up their inspection, he stepped into his car and drove away, his bumper now slightly dented from the impact.

  1. I heard that the driver had freakish supernatural powers and is immune to petty accidents such as these… that’s just what I heard.

I also heard he is a total lightweight when drinking Jameson and a rocking boat… again just something I heard throughout the grapevine.

  2. I live at 22nd & Folsom. He flipped over the handlebars. Scooter is totaled. Also, as a side note, the tags on the scooter expired in 2004… hope has was licensed and insured.

  3. I was cycling by right after this happened. The guy who had been riding on the scooter was lying in the street on his back, unable to move from the pain. It looked pretty serious to me.

I’m really glad to know he’s OK.
