Opening tonight is “Love and Anarchy,” a group art exhibition featuring works by CeCe Carpio, Kira Curtis, Fernando Marti and Jermaine Rogers at Ictus Gallery at 1769 15th Street.

We got a sneak peek at the exhibition this afternoon thanks to Jose Rosales, who was setting up for the party. It includes indoor graffiti mural art, posters, etchings, paintings and prints.

Works that stood out for me: an etching of Zapatistas marching down Mission Street, a tribute to the late John Ross, and a painting of mothers sitting outside a house, called “Madres de la Missión,” by Fernando Marti; and a poster of John Lennon hugging a peace sign, by Jermaine Rogers.

Opening reception starts at 6 p.m. and will include music and Peruvian food.
