A 30-year-old man was robbed at 4:20 a.m. today at 16th and Mission, according to police.

One suspect approached and asked the victim for his money. Another suspect then pushed the victim to the ground and took his cash. A third suspect punched the victim before all three fled the scene.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated by medics at the scene, according to Officer Albie Ezparza.

The first suspect was described as an Hispanic male in his mid-20s, with shoulder-length braided brown hair and brown eyes. The suspect was about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 140 pounds, and wearing a puffy brown jacket and blue jeans. He fled downstairs to BART.

The second suspect was a black woman with curly black hair just past shoulder length. She was about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 158 pounds, wearing a brown jacket and beige pants, and carried a small purse. She also fled to BART.

The third suspect was a black male about 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, with short black hair. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket and beige pants. This suspect fled on foot.

SFPD is asking anyone who witnessed the robbery to call the anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411.

  1. And so BART and SF are dismayed that ridership isn’t up at BART for taking our beloved mass transit to the airport? Just another day where existing problems for years and years are overlooked and people’s safety disregarded. All this and just two short blocks from the police station. Well, at least we didn’t offend anyone by saying or doing anything about it. Now y’all can wait in line at Tartine I guess.
