It’s unclear if alcohol or a suspended license figured in Saturday’s fatal hit and run on Mission Street near 18th Street, but arrest records from June 1 to 14 show that police arrested one driver for drunk driving and eight others for driving with suspended licenses.
Otherwise, alleged drug dealers, prostitutes and their johns got the most arrest attention for the two-week period.
Nine robberies topped the Mission District’s crime reports from June 1 to 14. Stolen autos, auto burglary and battery came in second, with eight instances each.
Most arrests happen late at night and into the wee hours of the morning.
And as reported earlier, Thursdays are the heaviest day of the week for arrests.
Most crimes take place over the weekends.
While many crimes still take place throughout the day.
