Boxes line the hallways of Buena Vista Elementary. Earlier this year, the school found out that it was being merged with Horace Mann Middle School. Buena Vista’s principal, Larry Alegre, will be vice principal of the new school. Dr. Maria Degan, currently a program administrator in Fremont, will become the new principal. Horace Mann’s current principal, Mark Sanchez, is moving on to become principal of Cleveland Elementary in the Excelsior.
All of which translates to: lots of packing.
