This sturdy mixer at La Victoria is witness to the traditional and the new in pastry-making.
Each piece of machinery requires careful attention at La Victoria Bakery on 24th Street.
Cupcakes are among the many wondrous pastries produced at La Victoria.
The same weight has been used on burgers for 25 years at the Deli-Up Café on 20th Street near Bryant.
The old meat stamps at Avedano’s Meats on Cortland Avenue are still in use.
These old meat stamps show the wear of many hands.
A saw for bones, a fish and Avedano’s, while not exactly in the Mission, provides meat and unintentional sculpture.
Perhaps it is old stovetops and wiring that offer some reflection from Jungmann’s Appliances on Valencia Street.
