At 16th and Mission shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday, a 35-year-old man was approached by a man who took his wallet from his pocket and fled on foot.

Another man who had witnessed the robbery approached the victim and told him he would call 911 if the victim gave him a cell phone. The victim complied. Instead of dialing 911, the man fled with the victim’s phone.

The victim followed the suspect to retrieve his phone. The first suspect then returned, and both suspects punched the victim and knocked him over.

Police arrested the first suspect, a 37-year-old male, in the area. The second suspect, also described as a man in his thirties, has not been arrested.

On Sunday evening at around 9:30 p.m., another  26-year-old man was robbed of his cell phone.

Two suspects, both described as males in their early twenties, approached the victim on the 1000 block of South Van Ness, brandished knives and demanded the victim’s cell phone. The victim complied, and the suspects fled the scene.

A similar crime occurred just 15 minutes later on the 3600 block of 19th Street between Guerrero and Dolores. A 30-year-old woman was approached by two male suspects with knives, who demanded her property. She handed over her cell phone, purse and wallet, and the suspects then fled on foot.

No arrests have been made.

Two men were stabbed on Monday at 5:45 p.m. after exiting Popeye’s on Mission and 22nd, according to police. Read Mission Loc@l’s summary here.

Later on Monday, a 27-year-old woman was robbed on Treat Avenue at 19th Street around 8:30 p.m. The victim was approached from behind by a male suspect, who put a knife to her throat and demanded her money.

The victim, who was not carrying any cash, took off her rings and threw them to the ground. The suspect fled with the victim’s four rings.

She was unable to give a detailed description of the suspect, and no arrest has been made.
