Three suspects were involved in a robbery Tuesday around 9:20 p.m, according to police.

Two suspects approached a 47-year-old man on the 300 block of Fair Oaks Street and threw him to the ground.

They stole his cell phone and then fled in a getaway car driven by a third suspect. The victim described the vehicle as a rust-colored, 70’s muscle car.

Three minutes later, a 30-year-old man was walking on 22nd and Shotwell around 9:23 p.m. when a suspect pushed him into a fence, pointed a knife at him, and demanded his property.

The victim complied, handing over cash and his cell phone. The suspect, described as a 30-year-old man, fled on foot.

Later Tuesday evening, police arrested three men after the suspects robbed a 35-year-old man around 11:24 p.m. Tuesday on the 600 block of Capp Street, police reported.

One suspect approached the victim and punched him in the face, while the two other suspects seized him from behind and threw him to the ground, the victim told police.

The suspects fled taking the man’s backpack, which was later recovered. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries which included a swollen right eye.

At this time police are investigating the possibility that the men arrested on Capp Street were also responsible for the robbery on Fair Oaks, said police spokesman Albie Esparza.
