Around 5:25 p.m. on Thursday, three girls entered a retail store on 16th Street near Bryant, took some clothes and left the store without paying for them, according to police.

A 27-year-old woman who was working at the store followed the girls outside to stop them. She was trying to take back the stolen clothing when one of the suspects hit her on the head and pepper-sprayed her. The three girls then fled on foot with the clothing.

The victim suffered minor injuries. No arrests have been made, and the suspects are described as two girls between the ages of 18 and 22 and another between the ages of 16 and 18.
