Of the nearly $71,000 in contributions toward Prop. 19 that hail from the Mission, Facebook founder Dustin Moskovitz donated $70,000. His contributions come from local zip code 94110, so he is presumably a resident of the neighborhood.

Earlier this month, Moskovitz’ pal from Facebook, Sean Parker (played by Justin Timberlake in the film “The Social Network”), threw in another $200,000 toward the California measure that would legalize recreational marijuana use.

Moskovitz left Facebook in 2008 to cofound software startup Asana, which appears to be still in the process of launching and beta testing.

Parker, who serves on Asana’s board, donated his chunk of change from his hometown, Oak Hill, Virginia.

In addition to transparency and craftmanship, “chill-ness” is listed as one of Asana’s values on the company’s website. Maybe Prop. 19 can help achieve that?
