Director Ricardo Martinez filming "The Wall"

Director Ricardo Martinez talks about the making of his film “The Wall.”

Over the course of two years, Martinez traveled the U.S.-Mexico border documenting the stories of people impacted by the building of a security fence meant to stop an incessant wave of immigration.

He shares the dangers, the difficulties and ultimately the deleted scenes from his long journey.

The film screened last night at the Mission Cultural Center and will be shown again at 3:45 p.m. at the Roxie theater as part of the San Francisco Latino Film Festival.
