This is more funny than newsy. This morning the San Francisco Ethics Commission listed Jeff Adachi’s wife,  Mutsuko Adachi, as a candidate for District 10 election. Aside from adding one more candidate to an already crowded field of 15+ candidates, it would have thrown the election upside down because of Jeff Adachi’s high profile.

It turns out that it was just a typo. According to an ethics commission official, there was a new employee on training who was entering “random” names she was given and accidently hit save.

It makes you wonder though, why her name was on said random list? The Ethics Commission official said the name was just on the desk and she entered it. Mutsuko Adachi, whose address is listed in the Potrero Hill zip code, is also Jeff Adachi’s treasurer in his unopposed re-election campaign for Public Defender.

More Adachi news: the public defender is scheduled to host his first “There Must be Justice” summit on Wednesday at 9:00 at the SF public library.
