Jennifer Blowdryer, Stephen Boyer and John Sakkis for a night of poetic outburst, stories of all variations, and hopefully a bottle of wine or five. And a few possible superstar surprise guests if the universe pulls through.
Jennifer Blowdryer has spent many decades around scribes, thespians, vocalists, musicians, and worst of all, performance artists. Therefore she has completely lost the ability to describe herself or any putative accomplishments, as nobody could or would freaking care to listen for even half a second. so lets just say you can buy her various books at cut rates on Alibris, ABE, and Amazon, for which she will receive no recompense, go to her website at jenniferblowdryer.com to grock her 86ed project, and behave in a courteous manner upon encountering same. The chanaces that she does not value your opinion are fairly strong, as she is getting older by the minute. Bitter? who’s bitter? JB is currently working on the Bitches Guide to the Lower East Side –
Stephen Boyer’s work has appeared in a Cool Thing, Madder Love, at 2nd Floor Projects, the Marjorie Wood Gallery and Poet’s Theater. His most recent book of poetry, Ghosts, came out January 2010 (BentBoyBooks). Currently he is dividing his time on friend’s couches in any and every major city. Talk to him after the show if you know of a really comfy couch!
John Sakkis’s most recent books are RUDE GIRL (BlazeVOX Books) and Rave On! (Lew Gallery). His translation of Demothenes Agrafiotis’s Maribor is just out from The Post-Apollo Press. He lives in the Lower Haight of San Francisco and works for Small Press Distribution.
