It’s Saturday and temperatures could reach 81 today. Before you head to brunch, Dolores Park or other parts of the city you should know that  \the Muni routes are going to be all kinds of weird due to this weekend’s events. Within the Mission the 14-Mission, 26-Valencia and the 49-Van Ness will be effected by “the grand daddy of all leather events.”

Maybe you should just ride your bike or skateboard to get to your destination.

If you decide to stay in today, you could build your own composting bin.

But if you venture  out, maybe you can find out why the trees are walking. ¿Que?

Karma really got me back on Day 5 of the Hunger Challenge. As a result of me rationalizing that I could eat pizza on Thursday night, I left my homemade lunch at home. So I had some trail mix I found in my car. You’d think I learned my lesson, but no. Last night Amuse Bouche, Soul Cocina and Crème Brulee Guy were all out at Fabric 8 on 22nd, and I had it all. So good. What this all means is, I have to do some serious damage control … and not leave the house to be tempted by the food I can’t afford.

Save the date: The next SF Food Wars battle has been set: Oct. 18 at Stable Café. It’s the clash of the mini-cupcakes. Limited tickets go on sale Monday at noon. Mark your calendars because these tickets will go like hotcakes cupcakes.
