A 27-year-old woman was shot and killed on Monday at 2:54 a.m. in the Mission District. The Richmond resident, identified as Tiara Williamson by the Medical Examiner, was near the area of 18th and Alabama when she was shot in the upper torso with a handgun, according to Officer Giselle Talkoff, a police spokesperson.

A light sedan was seen in the area of the shooting, Talkoff said, but it’s unclear if the victim was shot from the vehicle or not. Police are reviewing video footage in the area to learn more, she added.

Williams was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. The police are currently investigating the case and have not made any arrests.
