Police are requesting the public’s help in locating a suspicious man driving a four-door shiny black Toyota Yaris or Honda Fit who may have attempted a kidnapping. The man, described as a Caucasian of medium height and weight with black slicked-back hair, allegedly attempted to coax a 10-year-old student into his car last Friday.
The boy was waiting for the bus on the northeast corner of Carl and Cole Streets in Cole Valley when the suspect pulled up and attempted to convince the student to get in the car. The student declined and went into a restaurant to get away from the car.
Investigators are trying to locate the man to identify him and interview him.
