Sun kissed by Fidel Dolorier

It is 9:06 a.m. and these photos were taken earlier.  It is now 53˚ and expected to rise into the 72˚. Details for the next ten days here.

Today’s Block: Florida to Bryant, 22nd to 23rd

This President’s Day morning is very quiet on my block. Not the usual sounds on the street so you can hear the birds. Birds everywhere. They sound happy.
Even as I turn on Bryant the street is empty. Few cars and only one person pushing a shopping cart full of empty bottles and cans. The pungent smell of stale beer is a punch to my nose. Rotten fruits in this garden of Eden.

The sun is coming out with summery gusto. Crazy San Francisco’s winter. As I get close to the end I hear one bird making a raucous. He is alone in a plum tree ripping off the pink blossoms one after another. I can’t tell why. He is making a lot of noise and jumping from branch to branch acting out. I can’t see another bird in case he is trying to impress her. He just seems playful and full of life. Good for him. I realize then that I need a cup of coffee and head back home.

With the light good early on, so much the better to sign on to document your block. Don’t wait! Let us know what day and block you would like at info@missionlocal.com.

You can see a map of all of the blocks here. The blocks in grey are being saved for others who have signed up. Let us save a block for you as well.
