Police report that one suspect armed with a handgun opened fire this morning at 12:46 a.m. at Duboce and Mission Streets, leaving six victims with gunshot wounds in their legs, arms and torsos.

Though it’s unclear as of now where exactly the shooting took place, the incident was called in by the Brick and Mortar club on 13th and Mission, according to police, where hip hop artist Show Banga, who is from the Fillmore but went to Mission High School,  was performing to a sold-out concert for 18 and over fans. He posted on Facebook and Instagram about the incident, voicing his dismay at how people had behaved following his show:

According to initial police reports, one of the victims drove himself to a local hospital outside of San Francisco. The others are being treated at San Francisco General Hospital. One of the victims walked into the hospital.

The victims were between the ages of 20 and 22, but no names have been released. As of 11:10 a.m. all the victims have been reported to be in stable condition.

Security cameras at a car collision center on Mission street between Duboce and 14th shows groups of people running away from 13th and Mission. Later, the feed shows one of the shooting victims limping across Mission street to a car parked on the western side of Mission. A woman in the car gets out and helps the man into the back of the car. Minutes later, the police arrived, followed by an ambulance that picks up the victim.

Cody Haven, who lives in a building Mission Street between 13th and 14th, saw that the victim picked up by the woman had been shot in the abdomen. Haven said he arrived at home shortly before midnight, got into bed, and then heard an unusual amount of screaming outside. He thought the commotion was from protests about the Ferguson decision.

When he looked outside, he saw people running and the victim by the car. Haven said he had not heard any gunshots, but that in his area, loud noises are so common he might have dismissed them if he had.

“I wouldn’t have thought it was a gunshot even if I had heard it,” he said. “This neighborhood has been getting worse in the past few years.”

However, crime is trauma and the county offers different services. Here is a link to a page of services.

  1. I’m pretty sure we San Franciscans spell it “Fillmore” not “Filmore.”

Check out this performer’s video. A fair amount of gunplay:

      1. I have the same problem with people who give chamber music concerts. Aren’t you sick of all the mindless violence that happens at those? How many more young innocent white lives have to be lost people some people can’t listen to Vivaldi or Haydn without turning to hate and violence?
