Two robberies disturbed the Mission’s Friday morning early hours. One thief stole cell phones, the other loaves of bread.

At 2:30 a.m., two delivery men had parked their truck filled with loaves of bread near the corner of Florida and Mariposa. When they returned to their truck they found two suspects unloading loaves. When the bread delivery men tried to stop the two suspects, the bread thieves punched back and were able to run off. They headed southward on Florida Street with loaves in tow. The bread men had minor injuries and one was treated at San Francisco General Hospital.

Meanwhile, around the same time, near the corner of 26th and Folsom, three men in their 20s were approached by a fourth who lifted up his shirt to reveal a handgun. He demanded the group hand over their property. He then proceeded to pat them down, taking two cell phones, a tablet, a wallet, and their money. The man with gun ran off down Folsom Street.

No arrests were made in either incident described above. If you have any information about any of the incidents described above you can leave an anonymous tip at Mission Station by calling 415-552-4558.

  1. That is sick. Even the thieves are getting gentrified, stealing artisinal breads instead of 1990 Hondas. What is happening to the neighborhood.
