Crime Recap: Woman Sprayed With Chemical, Mugged

Monday

Police reported that at 7:05 p.m. a male suspect approached a man from behind on a Muni bus and stole his phone. The suspect then left the bus and fled the scene on foot. No arrests were made.

Wednesday

At 9:40 p.m. two male suspects approached a woman near South Van Ness and 24th Street and grabbed her purse, police reported. One of the suspects pushed her to the ground and then sprayed her with a caustic chemical. The suspects fled the scene on foot. The victim suffered redness to the face but declined medical treatment.

No arrests were made.
