Bodyfi, a personal training company based in downtown San Francisco, is officially opening its second studio today, at 2310 Mission St.

As part of its grand opening celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, the fitness studio is hosting a fundraiser for the Mission Economic Development Association. Bodyfi’s founder, John Nguyen, wanted to support MEDA because he was inspired by the group’s commitment to helping new small business owners.

After a soft opening several weeks ago, Bodyfi has been putting finishing touches on its 4,000-square-foot space at Mission and and 19th streets. The space has been a church and a flower shop, Nguyen said.

Bodyfi specializes in high-intensity 30-minute workout sessions; its tagline is “Train at the speed of life.”

“Everyone is so busy,” Nguyen said. “The traditional 60-minute workout is too long for them.” An introductory package of eight classes costs $75. Bigger packages are also available.
