California voters didn’t support mandatory labeling of products made with genetically modified ingredients, but that hasn’t stopped Whole Foods Market Inc. from requiring such products sold in its own stores to be labeled by 2018. Walter Robb, the company’s co-chief executive, said he believes that customers “have a fundamental right to know what’s in their food.” Read more in the LA Times.
Indie Rockers the Dodos will headline a benefit for Adobe Books this Monday at Public Works. The struggling bookstore kicked off a fundraising campaign last month, but needs to raise more money in order to stay in business. There are only seven days left to help them reach their goal.
