Uptown Almanac reports on and reviews the newest addition to Rhea’s Deli’s family of sandwiches — the Mission Street. It’s inspired by the bacon-wrapped hot dogs that fill the air on Mission Street with their tempting aroma.

Listen up, all outdoor music-lovers: the Board of Supervisors has approved a permit extension for the Outside Lands festival. The unanimous vote will allow the festival, which takes place in Golden Gate park every August, to stay in the city for another eight years.

Last but not least, don’t forget that today is 12-12-12. The New York Times reports that this is the last triple date most of us will see in our lifetime. As on previous triple dates, such as 07-07-07 or 11-11-11, hundreds of couples are expected to tie the knot.
