Woman Robbed at Bus Stop on Mariposa and Bryant

There was another robbery Thursday morning, to add to the three from last weekend. This time a 26-year-old woman was robbed at a bus stop at Mariposa and Bryant streets a little before 1 a.m. The suspect approached the victim and ripped her cell phone out of her hand before running away.

Two men attempted a burglary at 3:15 a.m. Thursday on Dolores Terrace. Police said the two suspects broke into the home of a 68-year-old woman. The victim heard the doorbell ring and didn’t answer. She then heard her window slide open, went into the hallway and found the two suspects. Nothing was taken from the property and no arrests have been made.

This is a city. I wouldn’t be gawking at my smartphone on Bryant St. at 1am. Common sense anyone?

I certainly don’t condone people robbing each other. But one wouldn’t stand outside with cash showing in his/her hands at night in a deserted place in the city. That’s what standing looking at a smart (makes you dumb)phone is.
