KTVU reports that a suspected drunk driver led the Highway Patrol on a chase around 2 a.m. on Thursday, crashing into several vehicles and injuring a pedestrian along the way.

Before coming to a stop on 17th and South Van Ness streets, the female driver — who raced down Highway 80 and into the city — hit a truck, crashed through a traffic light pole, smashed into a fence and struck a van, officials told the local news station.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was driven to a hospital in an ambulance. The traffic lights in the immediate vicinity were still out of service as of 7 a.m. Traffic is slow but steady in the area.
