Good Morning Mission!

It’s 7:15 a.m. and 60º. More showers today. Details are here.

The Mission Local party is almost here! Friday at 8 p.m. at 780 Cafe, we’ll be celebrating our fourth birthday and we want you to join us! Diana Gameros will be performing, and we’ll have discounted drinks and Mission Local shirts, tote bags and our very popular neighborhood atlas for sale so you can shop local this holiday season with a drink in hand. Click here for more information.

In food news you may have missed, Sous Beurre chef Michael Mauschbaugh, who we profiled last January, is getting ready to open a permanent spot on 24th Street. He’s been dishing up some tasty dishes at Sugarlump Cafe but that will end Dec. 14. The new spot will be just a few doors down, at 2704-2706 24th St. (at Potrero), according to Inside Scoop SF.

And since we’re talking about food, have you seen the new logo at Little Chihuaha on Valencia Street? Uptown Almanac points out that it looks a lot like TCB Courier’s.

It’s worth noting that TCB’s logo itself is an update of the New York Hardcore insignia (and, by extention, every other logo made ever), albeit a much more creative — and appropriate — refresh (especially considering TCB, at the very least, meets the very minimum requirement for “hardcore” and Little Chihuahua makes 8 different varieties of tostada salads with lime-cilantro salad dressing. But, I digress…).
