Four Robberies, One Murder

Tuesday

A 20-year-old man, identified as Sam Sterling of San Pablo, and a 14-year-old boy were arrested in connection with the murder of a 20-year-old man early Tuesday. Police found the victim lying in the street when they arrived on the scene shortly after midnight. Read the story here.

Two suspects robbed an 18-year-old man at gunpoint at 11:45 a.m. on Mission and Valencia streets. The suspects took the victim’s wallet, some cash and keys, then fled the scene on foot.

Monday

At 12:30 a.m. on Monday, a group of suspects approached a 21-year-old man at 23rd and Shotwell streets, punched him and took his cell phone.

The victim was taken to the hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.

A 50-year-old woman was robbed at 6 a.m. on Florida and Mariposa streets by a man who was described by police as between the ages of 17 and 20. The suspect approached the victim from behind and grabbed her purse. They struggled before the suspect gained control of the purse and fled.

A woman was robbed at knifepoint on Mission and 16th streets at 8:24 p.m. The suspect, a man in his late 40s, demanded that the victim give him her watch. He then fled on foot.
