Good Morning Mission!

It’s 7 a.m., 54º and headed toward 67º. Details here.

GrubStreet got the scoop on Kink’s Armory Club, slated to open in late September:

The new bar will have a serious cocktail focus, with a weekly changing cocktail menu, farmers’ market ingredients, and even a Champagne cart on weekends. As for the décor, it’s going to echo the sort of dark-red, heavily draped Victorian interior of their Upper Floor, a set they use at the Armory for a BDSM video site.

The Planning Commission will review the condo project on Valencia and Hill streets today at noon. At a recent public meeting covered by Mission Local’s Liz Melchor, neighbors were divided over the project:

Disagreements over the plans ranged from the building’s height to available parking and aesthetics. Conflicting information on whether the units would be for sale or for rent also angered some in the audience.

Four Barrel is opening a new location with the same name in Portola, according to SF Gate’s Inside Scoop:

It’ll be in the Portola neighborhood — between Bernal Heights and Bayview — on San Bruno Avenue at Burrows Street, right behind Subway.

[...]

Portola was the first to reach out, and its Four Barrel will open by the end of the year. Tooker is estimating November.

The 800 square foot location will be set up like a kiosk, similar to the original Blue Bottle outpost in Hayes Valley.
