Speaking of erotica, Slate asks: “Why Can’t a Cop Photograph a Naked Sorceress?” Mission patrol officer Gared Hansen, 36, learned the hard way after being suspended in 2009 and 2010 for events surrounding his off-duty hobby: erotic imagery. Hansen is now suing SFPD in federal court in Oakland for allegedly violating his right to freedom of speech.
