Passing by 22nd and Bartlett, I noticed this new hand-painted sign of a beautiful big red heart. Being curious about hand-painted signs in the Mission, I wanted to know where the heart came from.
When I stepped inside the small Mexican-style juice bar, I met the owners, Cesar Ramirez and his mother, Socorro Ramirez, who were busy making fresh juices for customers. Then Cesar told me the story behind the big red heart.
