SFGate went to 18th Street and beyond and listed 18 reasons they love Mission food. All the usual suspects are there — Delfina, Tartine, Bi-Rite — but also Commonwealth and Mission Chinese Food. Newcomer Mozzeria, a pizzeria on 16th Street that opened just a few months ago, also made the list.

Burritos also made the cut: “It’s impossible to talk about food in the Mission without mentioning the Mission-style burrito. Taqueria La Cumbre, which claims to be the birthplace of this iconic San Francisco staple, also makes its home on Valencia, with La Taqueria over on Mission Street.”

At a public meeting this evening, residents will be asked what they think about the possibility of holding more Sunday Streets events in the neighborhood. Thoughts?
