Things are coming along at La Rondalla. According to new co-owner Luna Barrios, the restaurant should reopen by late January 2012.
Carlos Barrios recently transferred ownership of La Rondalla to his two daughters, Luna and Betty Barrios. The restaurant closed in 2007 after a health inspection revealed several violations, including rodent droppings and cockroaches.
The daughters were hoping to reopen before Christmas but had to postpone because the renovations aren’t finished.
