It’s 6:02 a.m., 52° and heading for 61°. Rain before 10 a.m. and after 10 p.m. A few clouds. Details are here.

Trying to get work done over here while noodling around on Google+, trying to figure out how we can use it For Journalism. Or at least for fun.

In the last day, I’ve heard it described as:

— Like a new subdivision. All the trees are skinny, the houses still being built, the sidewalk halting abruptly at the grant line, cows wandering in the field beyond. (Anonymous)

— “A new hotel room: You know, you turn on the faucets, look in the closet and kind of sit-bounce on the bed, see what stations are on the TV, things like that. And then you say something: ‘Oh, I won’t be able to get any sleep on this bed,’ or ‘Look, we get this channel.’” (Journalist and Mission resident Tim Lesle.)

Meanwhile, the intricate song and dance between the city and CPMC continues. Vocabulary points to the author of this story for referring to Sutter Health as a bete noire.
